We always wanted to build our own dream house and Logan helped us achieve that goal in 2024. We had never taken on one of these projects previously and were nervous about how things might go. Logan and his team helped make that journey easy and smooth.

Our project was a new build on a previously unoccupied semi-rural section. Logan was recommended to us via our architect, as well as by a friend who had built with him before. From the beginning Logan was easy to contact and provided us with lots of useful help and advice. He always took time to answer our questions and kept us updated on progress. Logan's experience and problem solving ability helped us find solutions to challenges we encountered along the way. The project ran mostly to time and was only delayed slightly by factors outside of Logan's control.

It's now been over a year since we moved in and we remain very happy with the quality of the workmanship. Since completing our dream home we have now had Logan back on two separate occasions to work on landscape related upgrades. These two further mini-builds both ran smoothly and delivered high quality results. Logan's building experience and expertise again proved very useful in both designing and building both projects.

From the moment we moved in, Highcliff House felt exceptional. The polished concrete floors and underfloor heating make the entire home feel calm, warm, and incredibly comfortable year-round — it honestly feels like living in a day spa. Having our own steam room takes that feeling to another level and has become part of our daily routine.

The views over the Otago Harbour are magic. Every day still feels special, whether it’s morning light across the water or watching the weather roll in. LF Builders delivered the home exactly as it was designed, with incredible attention to detail and craftsmanship throughout. The quality is something you feel every day living here, not just something you see. We couldn’t be happier with the result.

Logan was recommended to us as builder by our architect who advised on and provided the plans for the refurbishment of our house on Titri Road Waihola. This house was originally constructed in 1985 and had several adaptions since that time including the addition of a conservatory and double garage. It is double storied on a concrete base with larch weatherboard cladding. The aim of the improvements was to tidy up some of the previous additions, a modern kitchen and heating system whilst maintaining the original look and feel of the home.

Logan and his team started in April 2019 and they managed the deconstructing, framing, cladding, and finishing work in a professional and efficient manner. We were especaly appreciative of the way that Logan kept us up to date with any issues, explained the options, and took on board our requests. Of great value was Logan’s advice and suggestions on sub-contractors and where we could see examples of their work. Refurbishments always have their issues as you do not start with a clean slate and there are always decisions to make on how far the changes should go. Logan’s advice was sensible and practical and we are very happy with the end product we live in today.

LF Builders built our ‘dream home’ in 2017. As this was our first time ever building, we were told it can be very stressful. But not with Logan and team, the experience was somewhat enjoyable. Logan’s communication from start to finish made it a pleasure to work with him. The finished product really surpassed our expectations.

His workmanship, consultation and ideas, meeting deadlines made this a memorable experience. Logan consulted us on every decision, and nothing was a problem if changes needed to be made. We found Logan’s advice to be sound and cost effective.

Logan has an eye for detail, bringing his own design flair and experience to the project and the quality of finishing was to the very highest standard, which this was important to us. It was obvious to us that Logan had a very good working relationship with his sub-contractors who were all so well informed and time-coordinated that there wasn’t one day during the build that someone wasn’t onsite working. As a result, the build was finished earlier than predicted allowing us to move in and begin enjoying our wonderful new home with family and friends.
